This fall we shall be launching Give Back Yoga University (GBYU), a continuing education platform for yoga teachers, yoga therapists, and healthcare professionals. Our virtual campus brings together students, teachers, and activists from nonprofit organizations, public sector institutions and academic institutions who work to forward the use of evidence-informed yoga interventions.
We offer a rich library of specialist trainings, classes, and other resources to empower you with the knowledge, skills, and tools to bring the therapeutic benefits of yoga to individuals facing mental and physical illness and systemic bias and prejudice.
IAYT encourages high professional standards by accrediting yoga therapy training programs and certifying individual practitioners. We sponsor research and education to advance the field of yoga therapy through our publications (the peer-reviewed International Journal of Yoga Therapy and the clinical practices magazine Yoga Therapy Today), as well as through conferences (the research-oriented Symposium on Yoga Research and the practitioner-oriented Symposium on Yoga Therapy and Research). IAYT also advocates for broad access to yoga’s transformational practices through our publicly oriented materials at yogatherapy.health.
