This practical series will expand your experience of the breath even as it challenges long-held beliefs about the ‘best way to breathe’. Each practice focuses on a unique aspect of what cultivates healthy breathing; from an exploration into optimal diaphragmatic activation, to working intelligently with breath-holds (kumbhakas) and the bandhas, to use of the breath to tap into the subtle frequency of prana. Robin Rothenberg, C-IAYT has been training yoga teachers therapists to become more highly skilled in their application of therapeutic yoga for over 20 years. She is the director of Essential Yoga Therapy an IAYT-Accredited Training Program. Robin has been cited in numerous publications for her involvement in yoga research, particularly for her work with lower back pain. She is the author of The Essential Low Back Program: Relieve Pain and Restore Health. Her newest books, Restoring Prana: A Guide to Pranayama and Healing Through the Breath, and The Svadhyaya Breath Journal were recently published by Singing Dragon and have received critical acclaim.
