About this Speaker

Neil is a physiotherapist, yoga therapist and Clinical Assistant Professor here at UBC, in the physiotherapy and Pain Medicine sub-specialty programs. He is also a consultant to the Division of Family Practice in BC, ICBC, Pain BC, and Lifemark clinics across Canada. Neil is founding chair of the Physiotherapy Pain Science Division in Canada, and recipient of the Canadian Pain Society's Excellence in Interprofessional Pain Education award. Neil is Lead Contributor of Pain BC’s Pain Foundations and Gentle Movement/Relaxation Series, faculty in four yoga therapist training programs, author of the pain education ebook, Understand Pain Live Well Again (2008), and co-author/editor of ‘Yoga and Science in Pain Care: Treating the Person in Pain (2019).
