About this Speaker

Mark Workman has taught and practiced yoga for 23 years; having studied yoga and yoga therapy with A.G. Mohan from 1997-2003. He has a bachelor of Theology degree and worked in the Anglican church in a pastoral capacity for 10 years. Mark is also a certified Shiatsu practitioner and student member of medical Qi Gong and Acupuncture at the Five Immortals Daoist temple in China. His yoga practice has primarily helped him manage his own challenges, including Bipolar Disorder and childhood sexual abuse. When his leg was amputated he applied the principles of yoga to manage a long stay in hospital, dealing with pain and rehabilitation. Now I teach amputees how to adapt yoga to suit their own needs. Mark also has a contract with Singing Dragon to write a book on the application of yoga and Qi Gong to limb loss.
