About this Speaker

Julie is a life coach, yoga teacher, NDIS provider and founder of All Ability Yoga. She is an advocate for accessible movement. Julie began her wellbeing journey utilizing and studying complimentary therapies expanding 27 years of study including practical Ayurveda, Lifestyle and Yoga. Julie has a passion for people, dedicating her work to addressing stress, anxiety and more recently, chronic disease and pain management. She has travelled and volunteered extensively, including a stint in the first Gulf war. She became Ambassador for Australian Organisation ‘Synapse’ brain injury in 2016 and continues to be a willing supporter of those living with brain and brain related injury. She continues her volunteer work, supporting students from University of Newcastle and researching psychosocial disability and brain related conditions with ABI (Acquired Brain Injury). I would also like to acknowledge Paulette van Vliet PHD; who, after hearing my story and subsequent pathway teaching ayurveda and yoga for people with all abilities, offered me the clinic space to offer group yoga in small groups of 3 as well as offering one on ones for patients with or without access to the NDIS.
