Aryong Choi-Hantke is a founder of Yoga IntoThe World, Institute of Body and Mind, Seoul, Korea, and vice president of International Association of Integrative Therapy.
She studied communication focusing on non-verbal communication for master degree and finished a Ph.D. program at the School of Media at Sogang University, S. Korea.
She started yoga in 1996, recovered from her PTSD since 2001 and established Yoga into the World, Institute of Body and Mind aiming at the interdisciplinary research in the field of Communication, Cultural studies, Psychology and Yoga Therapy in 2003.
Aryong has taught Yoga Therapy for the adults with severely developmental disabilities since 2010, for alcoholics and schizophrenia at the closed mental hospital, for prisoners and for cancer patients at the hospice center. She presented papers at the international yoga therapy conferences, Asia Psychosomatic Medicine Colleges, a variety of Popular Culture Associations since 2006. She published Our Body Culture Probe(2011) and At 7 P.M., I Meet Myself(2014), and contributed to “Yoga, Women, & Popular Culture”, Yoga and Culture(2013). Her book of Yoga Therapy for the Disabilities will be published soon.
